Paradigms, Narratives, or Types? A Brief Narratological Assessment of Welch’s Novel, “The Heart Song of Charging Elk”

Welch ElkThis paper is available for download for any  interested blog followers. Now that school is over, until late August at least, I hope to devote my time to matters primarily of theological, apologetical, and philosophical concern.

Here’s the link to download the paper: Paradigms, Narratives or Types? A Brief Narratological Assessment of Welch’s Novel The Heartsong of Charging Elk.

The Heartsong of Charging Elk, although at times extremely profane, verging on pornographic, has become one of my favorite novels. This is mostly due to its narratological complexity. Welch skillfully ties together a myriad of complex philosophical issues; however, the narrative does not depend strictly on the philosophical undertones of the novel. Enjoy the paper. Or not ;)
God bless.
